The Midwifery Resource Centre is open from 12-2pm, Monday to Friday. We provide free pregnancy testing, advice and resources for women, in addition to support for midwives.

Welcome to the Midwifery Resource Centre.
My name is Serena McKay. I have been a practicing midwife since 2014 and started working for the Midwifery Resource Centre in September 2019.
We are always looking for new ways that the Midwifery Resource Centre can support women and midwives. Let me know if you have any new ideas or requests.

The Midwifery Resource Centre stocks consumables, with discounted prices for MRC members. Members also have access to the free resources listed on the consumables page.
You can rent a clinic for half a day a week. Friday afternoons are usually free for catch up appointments.
If you are interested in renting some clinic space contact Violet Clapham (MRC Coordinator) to check availability.
The MRC organizes twice yearly Scale and Sphygmomanometer calibrations where midwives can drop off their equipment to be calibrated and picked up at their convenience.
You can purchase prescription pads at the MRC on weekdays, 12pm – 2pm.
The MRC prints a leaflet that outlines the services provided for women. The leaflet is distributed to GP practices in Christchurch and surrounding areas.
Become a member of the MRC and you will benefit from discounted prices for consumables. You will also be supporting the valuable service the MRC provides for women in the community who need a pregnancy test or assistance with finding a midwife.

We hold a meeting every 2nd month on the 3rd Friday of the month at 9am everyone welcome!
