It was an emotional afternoon tea held in our region to celebrate and honor Karen Guilliland!

We heard about the amazing progress and change that Karen has achieved for our profession!

There were messages from the current and past ICM presidents, current and past New Zealand prime ministers and from countless other strong women and midwives.

A theme was Karen’s leadership and strategy skills and her big heart and great sense of humor.

The Canterbury and West Coast region is so appreciative of all you have done for our profession Karen.

You have big shoes to fill! We wish you all the best and hope you get to spend some quality time with your family and new adventures.
